Cambridge Manor Care Home Celebrates Outstanding Dementia Care Achievements

Cambridge Manor Care Home is celebrating two outstanding achievements that recognise the dedication, compassion and commitment of the entire team: receiving Platinum Dementia Care Accreditation from NADCAS, the National Dementia Care Accreditation Scheme, alongside achieving an Excellent PAMMS rating.

The Platinum accreditation is a particularly significant milestone. Cambridge Manor achieved an impressive 93.39%, one of the highest scores awarded to any provider. This places Cambridge Manor within the top 1% of dementia care providers in the country.
For Home Manager Shelly and the Cambridge Manor team, the achievement is a reflection of the hard work and dedication that goes into providing high-quality, person-centred dementia care every day.

Following the accreditation, Shelly and the team came together to reflect on what the achievement means to them. It was described as a proud and uplifting moment, filled with appreciation, encouragement and a strong sense of teamwork.

Shelly said: “This is a wonderful achievement for the whole Cambridge Manor team. The Platinum accreditation is recognition of the care, compassion and commitment that our team demonstrates every day. We are incredibly proud of everyone and grateful for the dedication they show to the people living with us.”

The accreditation is particularly meaningful because it recognises more than policies and processes. It reflects the way dementia care is delivered in practice — supporting individuals with dignity, respect and understanding while creating an environment where people feel safe, valued and listened to.

Adding to this achievement, Cambridge Manor has also recently received an Excellent PAMMS score.

Together, the two results provide strong recognition of the quality of care being delivered at Cambridge Manor and demonstrate the team’s continued commitment to maintaining high standards.

While external accreditation and assessments are important, the team understands that the real measure of success is the experience of the people living at Cambridge Manor and their families.
