Caerphilly Care Home Residents Enjoy Memorable Police Visit
HC-One Wales’s Abermill Care Home in Abertridwr, Caerphilly, were thrilled to welcome local police officers for a special visit filled with smiles, laughter, and community spirit.
The visit, held on Tuesday, May 6, was a highlight for many residents, who had the unique opportunity to interact with officers, learn more about their work, and even sit in the back of a real police car – with the sirens on. The sound of flashing lights and excited chatter echoed through the grounds as residents posed for photographs and reminisced about their own past experiences.
The event sparked joy and lively conversation among residents, many of whom shared their appreciation for the officers’ time and effort in engaging with the home. Colleagues at Abermill Care Home praised the visit for lifting spirits and creating lasting memories for everyone involved.
Christine Tipper, HC-One Wales’s Abermill Care Home Manager, said:
“It was a fantastic day for our residents, who thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the officers and having a bit of fun in the police car. Events like this mean so much to our community – they bring connection, excitement, and a sense of togetherness that we truly value.”
