Bushey House Beaumont Makes Resident’s Dream Come True

Resident and retired teacher, Ann Ingram, at Bushey House Beaumont had always wanted to return back to her old school Watford Grammar School for Girls where she taught Domestic Science, so staff at the home made her wish a reality.

Ann Ingram has lived at  Bushey Beaumont for 3 years and is beloved by staff and residents alike. Staff at the home were delighted to be a part of making her dream come true, as they knew how much it meant to her and to see the smile on Anne’s face when her dream was realised. The school kindly arranged a tour of the school and Ann had a great chat reminiscing about her time as a teacher with current Head Teacher, Sylvia Tai

In response to this wonderful surprise, Ann Ingram said: “It is such an amazing feeling to know that such a loving group of people care so much about me that they helped me to live out a dream – and I didn’t even ask.”

Mary Jane Bague, General Manager at the home, said: “We believe that every moment is worth cherishing.  We want everyone we care for to know how important they are to us here at Bushey House Beaumont. It is testament to the hard work and dedication of the team here in making our residents’ dreams come true.  It was wonderful to see how happy Anne was – and our staff and Watford Grammar School loved being a part of this surprise as well.”
