Brotherwood WAV Event Reaches New Heights

Huge Turnout for Mercedes-Benz V-Class Reveal

A full-capacity audience recently joined Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle specialists Brotherwood to celebrate the launch of their new “Klastar” Mercedes-Benz V-Class WAV at an exclusive unveiling event, hosted by the prestigious Haynes International Motor Museum in Sparkford, Somerset.

Hundreds of wheelchair users and their families, carers, and Occupational Therapists were amongst the VIPs who attended the reveal of Brotherwood’s latest model; the “Klastar”, a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) conversion of the luxurious Mercedes-Benz V-Class. Offering a unique full-length, flat, level lowered floor with 57” internal headroom, self-tensioning restraint system, plus powered tailgate and access ramp, guests were wowed by the quality and refinement of the new Brotherwood conversion which promises to deliver best-in-class comfort and inclusion for the wheelchair user to sit centrally within the vehicle, with up to 6 other passengers including the driver.

All attendees also enjoyed a full day of VIP treatment with full access to the exhibits of Haynes International Motor Museum; the UK’s largest collection of the greatest cars and motorbikes from around the world, with historic vehicles from the late 1800s through to supercars from the present day including Mark Webber’s Red Bull ‘RB6’ 2010 Formula 1 car. A delicious buffet lunch was provided as visitors were also invited to explore a selection of vehicles from local sports car manufacturer Ariel, with stunning Atom and Nomad models on display for guests to enjoy – with an exhilarating Virtual Reality simulation offering the chance to experience a flat-out lap from the passenger seat of the breathtaking new Nomad for those brave enough.

The packed launch event preceded an open weekend at the museum where Brotherwood continued to provide test-drives and expert advice across a busy two days – with visitors from across the UK coming to explore the Brotherwood range and take the unique chance to compare the full range of vehicles in person.

In all several hundred guests were welcomed across the course of the weekend for a unique, informative and entertaining experience with the UK’s Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Specialists.

The Brotherwood “Klastar” Mercedes-Benz V-Class is now available for home demonstration across the UK. For more information visit www.brotherwood.com or call Brotherwood on 01935 872603.
