Borough Care Staff’s Bungee Jump Challenge

BUngeeSome of the staff at Borough Care’s Marbury House recently completed sponsored bungee jumps to raise money for the residents’ amenities fund. The amenities fund is used to put on a range of different activities and days out for residents at the home.

Lorna Weeden, Activities Lifestyle Facilitator at Marbury House, completed a solo bungee jump, while Deputy Manager, Jade Martin, and Carer, Dean Barker, did a tandem jump. Later in the day, Ashley Simpson, Maintenance Officer, also completed a solo jump. The team jumped from a height of 160 feet at the UK Bungee Club in Salford Quays. So far, over £600 has been raised.

Commenting on her bungee jump, Lorna Weeden says: “I found it both exhilarating and a little scary. It was definitely an experience I will never forget. Knowing we were helping our residents spurred us all on to complete the jump and I’m proud of us all for doing it.”
