Bluebird Care Launches Nationwide Fundraising Mission For Alzheimer’s Society After Smashing 2024 Target
Bluebird Care has begun a new UK-wide fundraising challenge for dementia, on the back of raising a staggering £67,000 for Alzheimer’s Society last year.
The national home care and live-in care provider has set out to once again raise at least £50,000 for the dementia charity, in support of their mission to create a world in which dementia no longer devastates lives.
As part of the fundraising partnership with Alzheimer’s Society, Bluebird Care’s 220 franchise partners and their teams are gearing up to achieve the same success through a national tapestry of individual fundraising missions.
Bluebird Care has teamed up with Alzheimer’s Society to design co-branded T-Shirts which are on sale, with all funds going towards the dementia fundraising challenge.
Over the summer, Care Professionals are planning to leap from the skies in sponsored skydives; push themselves to the limits in marathon and trekking challenges; and host communities up and down the country in Forget Me Not Tea Parties and local events.
The events throughout July have already raised over £10,000 which is enough to give 62,000 people access to Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Support Line and receive immediate support and advice.
Earlier this month, Bluebird Care’s National Support Team launched the summer of activity with a sponsored walk. Donning the fundraising challenge’s bespoke T-Shirts, the central National Support Team joined together to walk a cumulative 200 miles for the charity – raising just under £300 to get the fundraising activity started.
Zena Jones, Regional Fundraiser at Alzheimer’s Society said:

“There are around one million people living with dementia in the UK. The results of Bluebird Care’s fundraising last year are helping us to provide access to support through services like our Dementia Support Line. Their renewed commitment and ambitious £50,000 fundraising target for this year will help us continue our work supporting people living with and affected by dementia.”
Jonathan Gardner, Chief Executive Officer, Bluebird Care said:
“At Bluebird Care, we see the reality of dementia in people’s lives every day, and we know the vital importance of support, research, and awareness. Last year, our franchise network went above and beyond to raise an incredible £67,000 for Alzheimer’s Society. This year, we’re determined to go even further. From skydives to tea parties, our teams are united across the UK in their commitment to help build a future where dementia no longer devastates lives. I couldn’t be prouder of the passion and creativity our franchise partners and Care Teams bring to this cause.”
