Beautiful Brookfield Care Home Opens After £850,000 Investment

Family-owned Czajka Care Group has invested more than £850,000 in a major extension and refurbishment programme at its popular Brookfield Care Home in Nab Wood near Saltaire, creating eight new en-suite rooms.

The care home officially opened its doors to new residents this weekend and celebrated the opening with a party for its residents, their family and friends and its team of 45 care professionals.

Following work completing on the extension, Brookfield Care Home can now care for 45 residents in their own en-suite rooms. With full-time care, respite care, palliative care, day care and short breaks all available at the purpose-built home, Brookfield Care Home has been rated as ‘good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Julie-Ann Fitton, manager at Brookfield Care Home, said:
“We are all so excited to see the new wing of our wonderful home open and two of the rooms have already been taken. So much attention has been paid to all the little details and the fully accessible rooms and bathrooms meet all our residents’ needs perfectly. Along with deputy managers, Helen Larkin and Ada Przykaza, and the rest of the fabulous team, we are delighted to be able to care for more residents. It’s such a lovely community here at Brookfield, with first-rate facilities, an array of activities and a central location ideal for visitors, and there is plenty of parking too.”

Managing director of Czajka Care Group, Konrad Czajka, added:
“There is a high level of demand for quality residential care in the area, and we know from the number of enquiries we have received that all eight rooms will soon be occupied. Those that have chosen to live at Brookfield have not only liked the team, the activities, the home-made food and the flexibility in terms of type of care available, but they have also been attracted to the fact that Brookfield Care Home is part of our wider Fairmount Park development.”
