Akari Care Invests In Nantwich Care Home

Austerson-based Church House care home is undergoing a major refurbishment as part of Akari Care’s £12 million investment programme in its homes throughout the UK.

The home, which specialises in care for elderly residents, will benefit from a refurbishment of both its interior and exterior, which will enhance the surroundings for residents and visitors.

The refurbishment work will involve a redecoration of communal and personal spaces, including new curtains, carpets, furniture and soft furnishings and the lighting will be upgraded to make the areas more comfortable and relaxing for residents.

The exterior will have a fresh new look, with all external windows being painted and the car park will be resurfaced.

Based on Coole Lane, Church House is a purpose-built care home that provides residential and respite nursing care for up to 44 elderly residents.

Yvonne Burutsa, Manager at Church House care home, said: “The environment of a care home is so important to the well-being of the residents and we like to keep the surroundings as fresh and comfortable as possible.

“Every effort has been made to ensure that our residents cope well with the refurbishment work, which will last approximately 20 weeks, and we are all looking forward to seeing the finished home soon – I’m sure this major investment will make a real difference to our residents’ lives.”
