A Trip Down Memory Lane for Loganberry Lodge Residents at Fordham Car Show

For Loganberry Lodge residents, Mike, Betty, Paul and Roy, a trip to the Fordham Car Show was the perfect opportunity to reconnect with their interests and memories.

Annually, the Fordham Car Show in Colchester raises money for selected chosen charities, with different types of vehicles on display from all eras, including static and stationary displays.

When the opportunity was presented to the Wellbeing Lead, Sinead, arrangements were made with event organisers to ensure residents had chairs and a gazebo in a prime location, with access to all the best areas of the show.

Residents had access to their favourite vehicles and discussed their memories with the Loganberry Lodge team and their family.

The home has a close relationship with the FANZ charity network, who kindly provided transport for the residents to the show.

Sinead Whelan, Wellbeing Lead at Loganberry Lodge, said:
“When we were presented with the opportunity to be involved in this year’s Fordham Car Show, we could not turn it down. Many of our residents have a vast history with car and motor vehicles for one reason or another so we knew this event would benefit them greatly. I want to thank FANZ network, the event organisers and all the staff and the community for making this event happen for our residents.”
