Local Care Home Hosts Christmas Buffet for the Community

Local-Care-Home-Hosts-Home-to-Home-Christmas-LunchAshworth Grange care home in Dewsbury, operated by Ideal Carehomes, is hosting a Christmas buffet afternoon on 21 December for local older people who may be lonely or isolated and perhaps not have any family to visit at this special time of year.

Ashworth Grange, which prides itself on being an integral part of the local community, is inviting older people to join them for a festive feast and to participate in various activities with the residents and staff at the home.

Home Manager, Paula Whiteley, said “At Ashworth Grange, we are always looking at ways to aid and integrate with the local community.  We feel that providing a buffet for people who may otherwise be lonely at Christmas would be a great benefit, giving them much needed company and joy during the festive period.  Our residents thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and hosting events in their home so it will be a great day for everyone!” 

As well as the buffet, the home will also provide the opportunity for visitors to participate with the residents in various activities and there will also be a singer to entertain everyone.  There will be no charge for local people to attend, but places are strictly limited.

Ashworth Grange care home is a high quality residential and dementia care home which provides a great place to live, making a difference to the lives of the people who live there.
