Windle Court Residents Enjoy At-Home Movie Magic with Brand New Cinema Room

Everyone at Windle Court care home is thrilled to see their very own cinema room completed and ready for use. The cinema is named ‘Withywindle Studios’, a reference to the street in which Windle Court resides on.

The room has received a complete refurbishment, including decoration with featured wallpaper, walnut wood effect venetian blinds, a 65” smart TV, brand new armchairs, coffee tables and sideboard and beautiful artwork for the perfect finishing touch.

Residents and the care team at Windle Court watched the room being developed with much anticipation and are absolutely delighted with the finished result.

The cinema has already been put to good use, residents enjoyed a movie night with popcorn and loved the comfortable armchairs and the relaxing setting.

The team at Runwood Homes are always looking to maximise space within homes, with a range of facilities and features that encourage an engaging and stimulating environment. Windle Court’s cinema room will inspire further activities and events for residents to get involved in, whether that’s a night at the movies, watching a game, taking part in a church service, or group-wide initiatives or home-level events over zoom.

Lorraine Taylor, Home Manager at Windle Court, is pleased with the cinema and said:

“I am so pleased that Windle Court now has its own cinema. The response from residents has been great and its so lovely seeing them able to enjoy it. We look forward to hosting regular movie nights in the cinema room and thinking of other wonderful ways we can put it to good use.”
