VIP Guests At Marlborough Court Care Home
Marlborough Court Care Home, Thamesmead recently held a “Focus on Excellence” Manager’s study day, with Four Seasons Health Care staff attending.
Guests speakers included Dr Theresa Shaw, CEO, FONS (Foundation of Nursing Studies) and Dr. Jan Sheldon CEO,RAD (Royal Association for Deaf)
Dr. David Foster, Deputy Director of Nursing and Midwifery Advisor, Department of Health, also gave a presentation on “The Challenges of Care Home Management”. All guests also visited the recently opened sensory dementia garden that was funded by £80,000 from the Department of Health (Kings Fund)
“This is a delightful sensory garden – which really complements the high quality care at this home” commented Dr. David Foster during his visit.
Home Manager Maggie Candy added “We welcome all guests and will continue to offer high standards of care here within Marlborough Court”
Marlborough Court Care Home is also the first home in the UK to have the new Quality Deaf Mark for suitable older peoples Deaf services.
