Two Rotherham Care Homes Recognised for High Standards of Care
Two Rotherham care homes have been recognised for their commitment to high standards of care after receiving certificates from Care Inspections UK (CIUK).
Moorgate Hollow and Moorgate Croft, which form part of Moorgate Care Village and are operated by Park Lane Healthcare, were presented with certificates following independent inspections conducted by CIUK, a UKAS-accredited inspection body specialising in adult social care.
The inspections considered the homes’ performance against applicable legislation and regulations, recognised standards, including BS 8606:2019, the British Standard for adult residential care, and established best practice.
The certificates provide independent recognition of the homes’ performance at the time of inspection and reflect their commitment to high-quality, person-centred care and continuous improvement.
Chris Lane, chairman of Park Lane Healthcare, said: “We are delighted that both Moorgate Hollow and Moorgate Croft have received this independent recognition. It reflects the dedication, compassion and professionalism shown by our teams every day.
“Independent inspection by a UKAS-accredited inspection body provides reassurance for families that the care we deliver has been assessed against applicable requirements and recognised standards, and we are proud of the outcome.”
Leigh-Ann Peace, registered manager at Moorgate Hollow, said: “Everyone here genuinely cares about the people who live with us, so receiving this recognition means a lot.
“It’s a testament to the whole team, who put so much into making the home a happy, caring place every single day.”
Kevin Groombridge, chief executive of Care Inspections UK, said: “Independent inspection by a UKAS-accredited inspection body provides valuable assurance for residents, families, professionals, regulators and commissioners. It demonstrates that a service has undergone a structured, evidence-based assessment against relevant legislation, regulations, recognised standards and best practice.
“The teams at Moorgate Hollow and Moorgate Croft were open and engaged throughout the inspection process, welcoming constructive feedback and demonstrating a clear commitment to continuous improvement.
“The outcomes achieved by both homes, including their performance against BS 8606:2019, reflect a positive culture, strong practice and a clear commitment to maintaining and improving quality.”
