TV’s Dr Hilary Jones ‘Blown Away’ By New £11m Care Home

BlownAwayBROADCASTER Dr Hilary Jones has said he’s “blown away” by a new £11 million care home in West Sussex.

The Good Morning Britain presenter was speaking during a public open day at Colten Care’s Wellington Grange in Chichester.

Dr Hilary described the home, which will create up to 120 jobs when it reaches full occupancy, as “unfailingly spectacular.”

He added: “I’m always blown away when I come to visit one of Colten Care’s new homes.

“Wellington Grange sets the beam so high for others to follow and I’m delighted to be associated with it.

“The attention to detail is magnificent and I’ve already put my name down for a room.”

Wellington Grange is family-owned Colten Care’s 20th home and its first in Sussex.

The 72-bedroom home, by the corner of Broyle Road and Wellington Road, provides residential, nursing and respite care services.

Facilities at Wellington Grange include an in-house cinema, hairdressing salon, spa room, Brandy Hole library, Royal Sussex Dining Room and Sandpiper Bistro.

Hundreds of people attended the open day, held one week after Chichester Mayor Cllr Peter Budge officially declared the home open. The first five residents have already moved in.

Mark Aitchison, Colten Care’s Chief Executive, highlighted the fact that the family business had no external shareholders and owned the freeholds of all its properties.

“Our policy is care before profit. We know what good care looks like and we know how to deliver it,” he added.
