‘Tis the Season to be Jolly at Local Care Home in Southgate
Barchester’s Southgate Beaumont care home, in Southgate got in the Christmas spirit when Albert’s Band from the Royal Albert Hall visited to entertain residents with their fabulous Christmas Songbook Concert
Southgate Beaumont concert was in full swing as Alberts Band – Mike Poyser on Tuba, Rebecca Crawshaw on Trumpet and Thomas Gray on Vocals and Guitar.
Sang a medley of Christmas song’s and told tales about The Royal Albert Hall and some of the famous singers that had entertained there over the years.
General Manager, Beatrice Godfrey said: “Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year and this year we wanted to spoil our fantastic residents even more than normal so we’ve pulled out all the stops. We were so delighted the Royal Albert Hall performed for us. Residents had a fantastic time. It is so lovely to see them all getting into the Christmas spirit. It’s definitely my favourite time of year.”
George Brown, resident at Southgate Beaumont said: “It has been a lovely afternoon. It’s so wonderful to sing along to live music. I really enjoyed the Ella Fitzgerald Christmas Medley.”
