The Workforce Development Innovation Fund Is Now Open For Applications

Applications for the Workforce Development Innovation Fund are now open backing trailblazing adult social care workforce development projects that are in development, being tested or improved.

The Workforce Development Innovation Fund (WDIF) supports innovative projects which increase the skills and knowledge of workers. The fund has a proven track record in helping improve service quality and embedding person centred values in the 1.45 million strong social care workforce.

One example of how WDIF works is Funding awarded to Disability Sheffield Centre for Independent Living on behalf of Sheffield Individual Employer and PA Development Group. The aim of the project is to implement co-production as a way of working in the development and delivery of future services across adult social care within adult social care within Sheffield City Council.

As a result, the project has established good practice for the use of co-production, so it can benefit future projects in Sheffield and elsewhere.

Funding applications must meet one of the advertised priorities in the ‘What will be funded?’ section on our website, and then be able to deliver to Skills for Care tangible resources or products, which have been rigorously tested as part of the project.

The deadline for applications is 1pm on Friday 22 June 2018.
