The Sun Shone for Glebefield’s Seaside Day

Staff, residents, relatives and the local community came together at Glebefields care home in Drayton Village, Banbury to enjoy some summer sun at their Seaside themed event.

Glebefields hosted a variety of activities throughout the day, including tin-can alley, skittles, beach volleyball, and a sand castle competition. It was such an awesome day, with the gardens transformed into a breach front with visiting ice cream van. The homes hospitality team served a traditional ‘Fish and Chips’ menu by the seaside, beside the sea!

All the visiting children enjoyed making sand castles for our residents to judge the best and Addhu and Jacob brought smiles to our faces throughout the day jumping in and out of the paddling pools and playing various ball games with everyone.

Residents; Edith and Marlene said,
“We thoroughly enjoyed it, seeing so many people having fun in our gardens. The vintage ice creams were just perfect!”.

Nisha Shaji General Manager at Glebefields care home said that
“Today has been such fun and it’s not the end of summer fun at Glebefields, we have many more exciting activities lined up for the residents and local community.”
