Sunrise Of Bassett Celebrates 15th Birthday In Style

Sunrise of Bassett has recently marked their 15th Birthday with a crystal themed party.

An incredible milestone, the lavish afternoon organised by Sunrise of Bassett proved to be a huge success, with 60 guests enjoying champagne and an exquisite afternoon high tea, as prepared by their wonderful catering team.

As well as this, attendees were treated to some fantastic entertainment provided by the Pearly Pride Entertainers, who sung several old favourites.

Hosted in the care home’s wonderfully decorated gardens, the party presented a great opportunity to not only commemorate an impressive landmark but also brought people together following an extremely difficult year for those within the care sector.

Alongside team members, residents, and their families, were several special guests, with local dignitaries the Mayor of Southampton, Alex Houghton, and Caroline Nokes, MP for Romsey & Hampshire, joining those in celebration of what was a momentous afternoon.

Reflecting on the day, General Manager at Sunrise of Bassett, Kim Harding, said:

“The 15th anniversary of the opening of Sunrise of Bassett was a huge success. Considering the challenges presented as a result of the pandemic, it was great to see residents and their families enjoying the afternoon. The team went above and beyond for the celebrations.”

“We are extremely appreciative to the Mayor of Southampton, Alex Houghton, and Caroline Nokes, MP for Romsey and Hampshire, who spent the afternoon with us.”

“As General Manager it was a privilege to lead and participate in the celebrations. I hope everybody went away with some treasured memories of what was a wonderful day.”

Julie McDonell, Business Office Coordinator at Sunrise of Bassett, added:

“I have been with Sunrise of Bassett since it opened 15 years ago in 2006. This celebration was a huge success.”

“The garden was decorated beautifully with a crystal theme. We reminisced and showed photos of our 15 founding residents, as well as those team members who are still with us today. A lot of hard work and effort was put in by everyone to make sure the day was enjoyed by all, and it was lovely to see all the smiles and happy faces. We had so many compliments from guests following the event, which made it all worthwhile.”
