Stornoway Care Home Resident Receives Telegram Off The Queen As She Turns 100

A Resident at HC-One’s Blar Buidhe care home in Stornoway recently turned 100 and received a telegram off The Queen to mark this milestone birthday.

Blar Buidhe Resident Jessi MacIver turned 100 on 23rd August and was delighted to receive cards and presents from all her family and friends from across the Western Isles.

As Jessie turned 100, she received a very special gift from the highest in the land. As is tradition, Her Majesty the Queen sent Jessie a special telegram, celebrating reaching 100 years of age.

The telegram read:

“I am so pleased to know that you are celebrating your one hundredth birthday on 23rd August 2020.

I send my congratulations and best wishes to you on such a special occasion.”

Blar Buidhe Home Manager, Donald Macintosh said: “All the staff at Blar Buidhe send their love and best wishes to Jessie, it was a privilege to celebrate this special day with her.”
