Stocks ‘Night In’ Raises Money For Macmillan
Stocks Hall Nursing & Care Home in Skelmersdale, Lancashire hosted a Macmillan Cancer Support Night on Friday 16th May, raising over £90 for the charity.
Macmillan dedicated Friday, May 16 as the date to host a ‘Night In’ across the UK, with participants donating the money they’d normally have spent on a night out, and instead spending a night in with friends, food and drink.
The home organised a fun evening filled with food, drink, chat and laughter! Homemade cakes and cards were sold on the evening, and everyone dug deep to show their support for charity.
Emma Hyatt, Activities Co-ordinator said “It was fantastic that so many people came along to our ‘Night In’. As many people know, cancer affects everyone of every age. We are so pleased that we have raised so much money and all of it will go towards supporting the tremendous work that Macmillan do.”
