Staff Have Double Celebration for Milestone Service at Rose Lodge Care Home

Rose Lodge care home, in Wisbech, was full celebrations for not one but two of their staff who celebrated 15 and 25 years of service respectively.

Kath Matchett started at Rose Lodge in June 2001 as a Housekeeping Assistant and is a familiar face to many and known for dancing to Elvis in the corridors! Kath was truly surprised by staff at the home with cards, vouchers, flowers and was taken out for lunch

Karen Smith started at Rose Lodge in June 2011 as a Housekeeping Assistant and is also a familiar face in the home and when she isn’t busy ensuring the home is clean she can often be found outside ensuring the garden is looking lovely.

General Manager Meg Jones said: “It has been a real privilege to be able to celebrate both Kath and Karen today. Their loyalty, hard work and dedication to their roles is shown every day in their actions and I know how highly thought of they both are with our residents, visitors and colleagues and I would like to say thank you to both of them for their service to the home”

Kath said “Thank you everyone, this is really nice, I wasn’t expecting all this fuss” Karen said “ Thank you to everyone, it is lovely and I really enjoy being here, it’s lovely to be somewhere with such lovely people”

Kath and Karen were treated by their colleagues and Barchester Healthcare to flowers, cards, vouchers and a £250 love 2 shop voucher and were then taken out for lunch by the team.
