St. George’s Day Celebrations At Stockton Care Home

CARE home residents brought out the bunting and donned their dance shoes to celebrate St. George’s Day 2015 in Stockton on Tees.

Mandale House Care Home, in Thornaby, hired local singer Del Raye to entertain while the residents picked up maracas and tambourines to join in the jamboree.

Barbara Dewison, activities coordinator at Mandale House, said: “We wanted to celebrate the patron saint of England, St. George, this year so we brought in a local entertainer and gave the residents a good time.

“The dragon slaying was kept to a minimum but the residents certainly attacked the dance floor with vigour. It’s definitely something we’ll be looking to repeat next year.”
