Somerset Care Home Receives Top Rating In National Survey
Residents and staff at Arthur’s Court care home in Somerset are celebrating after the service was received one of the highest ratings in a nationwide survey of care home residents.
The care home, which is based in Street, was given an overall performance rating (OPR) score of 997 out of 1,000, ranking it third overall in the country and top in the region. Arthur’s Court has achieved popularity with residents due to its innovative activity programme, which includes ‘Oomph!’ exercise classes, and the attentiveness of the experienced staff team.
Arthur’s Court is part of the Embrace Group, and provides nursing, palliative and residential care for older people. This is the second consecutive year where the Embrace Group has been raising the bar for high standards in the care sector – last year, Marlborough House, one of the Embrace Group’s services in Kent, received the highest score in the country with 995 out of 1,000.
Now in its fourth year, the Your Care Rating survey is the country’s largest and most authoritative survey of care home residents. Over 20,000 residents across 1,000 care homes across the UK took part, and each care home was given an overall score based on resident feedback across four broad themes; Staff and Care, Home Comforts, Choice and Having a Say, and Quality of Life.
Lukasz Tomaszewski, Home Manager at Arthur’s Court, said;
“We are absolutely delighted that residents have given us such a high rating in the Your Care Rating Survey. We have a very dedicated staff team at Arthur’s Court, who work exceptionally hard to provide only the highest quality of care and support to each individual resident.”
