Six-Year-Old girl to Have Her Festive Artwork Featured on National Care Provider’s Christmas Cards
The annual Christmas Card art competition run by Holmes Care Group has seen Amber Chaplin from Southend, Essex crowned the winner. Amber, aged six, was one of several young children to submit a colourful design.
The contest – cancelled last year due to the pandemic – sees the young children of employees put colour pencils to paper in the hopes of having their work featured on all company cards.
This year, all colleagues will see Amber’s cheerful drawing of Santa Claus, a snowman and a reindeer on their cards and read a heart-warming message from her family inside.
Commenting on the competition’s result, Sharifa Lakhani, CEO of Holmes Care Group said:
“All our submissions this year were fantastic, but we chose Amber’s design because of the detail and creativity her drawings showed, especially for someone so young. We’re delighted to see the cards go out to all colleagues across the country and spread some festive cheer this Christmas.”
Tracey Chaplin, Mum of six-year-old Amber, said:
“Amber was absolutely over the moon when I told her she had won. She let out a great big scream in the middle of her school playground, before jumping up and down and telling all her friends – she was on Cloud 9 for quite a while!”
