Residents Shine at Frank Foster House’s Sustainable Fashion Show
In a celebration of creativity, sustainability, and community spirit, Frank Foster House, part of the Runwood Homes group, hosted an inaugural Sustainable Fashion Show on the 11th of October, bringing together residents and staff for a remarkable display of ingenuity and purpose.
The event featured a stunning dress crafted entirely from recycled newspaper, designed by the talented residents. Additionally, many outfits showcased during the show were created from clothing donated by local charities, further emphasising the importance of sustainability and community support in fashion. “The home truly enjoyed their first fashion show,” said Nicolas, the home manager at Frank Foster House.
Resident Maddie, who participated in creating the newspaper dress, shared her enthusiasm: “I love fashion, and it is great we participated in a sustainable fashion show. It took us a week to make the dress with newspaper, and we are very proud of it.”
