Residents at Local Care Home Lend their Ears to Live Music Performance

Residents and staff members at Chorleywood Beaumont care home in Chorleywood enjoyed an afternoon of grins with a fabulous performance that took place at the home. Year one to six students from Russel School, led by their music teacher Christine Deeley, donned Easter Bonnets and performed a selection of classic hits including Beatle songs and a fantastic rendition of “When the Saints go Marching in.”

Residents joined in with the singing and clapped and danced along. The hospitality team at the home also provided a spread of sweet and savoury treats for guests to enjoy during the show.

Lifestyle Coordinator, Helen Abbott said, “Our residents and guests had a wonderful day singing along with the wonderful performers. We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment at Chorleywood Beaumont as part of the lifestyle enrichment programme for residents, and this was one of our favourites!”

Hilary Gullet, retired teacher and resident at Chorleywood Beaumont said “I haven’t heard some of these songs in many years. The classics never go out of style!” “It was such a wonderful afternoon and bought back fond memories of my many years of teaching at Chalfont Primary School.”
