More than 30 people including staff and residents at a Coventry home walked the equivalent of 100 miles and raised over £250.

MHA Allesley Hall set up a fundraiser to walk around the grounds of Allesley Park, where the home is situated to the distance of 100 miles.

The home decided to raise money for their amenities, which will go towards arranging trips and activities for the residents.

MHA Allesley Hall provides residential and nursing care for 44 residents.

Nick Close, activity coordinator said:
“We had a great day, and everyone really enjoyed it.

“The residents had a great time doing the rounds and they were very keen to see the progress.

“Everyone got stuck in, residents, the families and staff all contributed towards us achieving the target of 100 miles.

“The weather was good, we had people from all ages supporting the cause.

“We are still getting donations, last time I checked we have reached more than £250.

“The funds will go toward our amenities fund which will go towards activities and trips.

“We had donation buckets on the day, we received some great support from the community, and we are very grateful for the support.”
