Quantum Care Home Wins Prestigious Pinders Healthcare Design Award

Dukeminster Court Care Home in Church Street has been “crowned “ the winner in the Best New Care Home for the Elderly category of the National Pinders Healthcare Design Awards. These prestigious awards celebrate design excellence in the healthcare sector and recognise the contribution care providers, designers and architects make to the quality of life in care homes through revolutionary design. Buildings are judged based on architectural standards, innovation and, most importantly, how well the design recognises and meets the needs of its residents.

The home was designed by RDT Architects Limited from Harpenden and constructed by ISG Ltd. Representatives from both companies, as well as staff from parent company Quantum Care and Dukeminster Court attended the Awards Ceremony at the Lancaster London Hotel, where the award was presented by Britain’s Got Talent finalist Steve Hewlett.

Dukeminster Court Home Manager Julie Canale said “All the staff, residents and families are absolutely delighted to have won this award. The home is not only a fantastic place to live, but also to work and we are all so proud of this achievement”.
