Pop-Up Car Wash Raises Funds For Chesterfield Care Home Residents
A POP UP car wash has raised over £200 for Chesterfield care home residents.
Springbank House Care Home, on Ashgate Road, organised the car wash and BBQ to raise money for the residents’ fund.
The fund helps pay for day trips and luxury items for those living at the home.
Staff and volunteers from Springbank House washed, rinsed and dried more than 20 cars, raising £210 in total.
Karen Busby, home manager, said: “We probably could have washed more cars but we ran out of time.
“We’ve already had lots of enquiries about whether we’re going to run another car wash fundraiser so we’re planning on doing it again in August.
“I’d like to thank the team for taking part and everyone who supported the car wash by bringing their vehicles along.
“The money we raised will be a huge benefit to our residents.”
