Pints Of Guinness All Round For Graveshead Care Home St Patricks Day Celebration

In true Irish spirit, residents of Edward Moore House Residential Care Home in Gravesend enjoyed a pint of Guinness to celebrate St Patrick’s Day.

Residents of the Trinity Road care home enjoyed a day filled with Irish inspired activities on Wednesday, to celebrate the patron saint of Ireland and Irish culture.

The day started with some painting and there was of course green paint aplenty, as the residents hand painted some four-leaf clovers, to decorate the home with. The staff also shared some Irish traditions and sayings with the residents.

With the dining room decorated, staff put on a buffet lunch, complete with chocolate Guinness cake and several other Irish inspired tasty treats. And it wouldn’t be St Patrick’s Day without a tipple or two, so the residents tucked into a nice cold pint of Guinness too.

Chris Hutchinson, General Manager of Edward Moore House said: “We like to celebrate different holidays and special events here as it keeps our activities fresh and exciting. The residents really enjoy learning and embracing the cultures.”
