Oxfordshire MP Celebrates Outstanding CQC with Care Home Residents

A Bampton based care home received a visit from MP Robert Courts recently to celebrate it’s ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating.

The MP for Witney and West Oxfordshire took a tour of Rosebank Care Home before chatting with residents and learning all about why the home was awarded with the prestigious recognition.

Jane Roberts, owner at Rosebank, commented: “It was a pleasure to receive a visit from MP Robert Courts and the residents were only too eager to talk to him about what they love most about Rosebank.

“All of the team work really hard to ensure that we’re delivering a first class level of care and so to be praised so highly in the CQC report is what makes it all worthwhile.”

As part of the celebrations, the MP joined guests for afternoon tea and a celebratory cake cutting as well as a visit from Alan Charlett from Al’s Owls with two of his feathered friends.

MP Robert Courts, added: “Rosebank thoroughly deserves its ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating, shown by the happiness of residents, the caring, friendly, attentive staff and the wide range of activities provided. I am proud to have such a care home in my constituency and I greatly enjoyed the chance to speak and meet with everyone, staff and residents alike.”

The recent CQC report commended Rosebank for its ability to go ‘the extra mile’ and deliver a safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led service.

Led by husband and wife team Jane and Gerry Roberts, Rosebank offers long and short-term care for elderly ladies and gentlemen, with a special interest in helping people with memory impairment and dementia.

The home opened its Memory Lane dementia corridor this summer, which features specially designed décor to enhance visual and sensory awareness, in addition to it being a place where residents can go to relax and reminisce.
