Oxfordshire Care Home Provider Brings The Seaside To Residents
Oxfordshire care home residents had an opportunity to feel the sand beneath their toes as part of a seaside-themed Fun Day, designed to bring residents and staff together for an afternoon of nostalgia and socialising.
On Wednesday 19th August, nearly 150 residents and staff from the 17 Oxfordshire care homes run by The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) partied at their annual summer event at The Kings Centre in Oxford.
As part of the occasion, residents reminisced back to their younger days at the seaside while enjoying a day full of classic seaside treats with entertainment including hook-a-duck, a photo booth and a visit from real donkeys, along with fish & chips and ice cream for lunch.
The Lord Mayor of Oxford also made an appearance at the party to spend time with residents and enjoy the festivities.
