Over 100 Attend Lever Edge Care Home Garden Party

LeverA GARDEN party at a Bolton care home was attended by over 100 residents, family members and friends.

Among the visitors at Lever Edge Care Home was Bolton Mayor Cllr Lynda Byrne, who officially unveiled a memorial bench to passed resident Norah Roberts.

The bench was donated to the home by Norah’s family.

The Bolton School of Performing Arts provided a live show for the annual event.

A tombola, bric-a-brac sale, raffle, cake stall, cake decorating, face painting, lucky dip and carnival games such as Play Your Cards Rights also kept guests entertained.

Beverley Taylor, home manager at Lever Edge Care Home, said: “We’d like to thank everyone for attending our annual garden party – especially Mayor Cllr Byrne.

“We had a wonderful turnout – partly helped by the amazing, sunny weather we enjoyed. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the day and we’re already looking forward to next year.”
