Oakland Care Recognised As ‘Top Employer’ For Second Year Running
Care home provider Oakland Care has been named as a ‘Top Employer’ once again in this year’s Top Employers UK list.
The Top Employers Institute programme certifies organisations based on the participation and results of their HR Best Practices Survey. This in-depth survey covers six HR domains consisting of twenty topics such as People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Well-being, Diversity & Inclusion, and more.
The title is extremely sought after around the globe, with more than 1,600 Top Employers in 120 countries across five continents certified by the Institute.
Recognised as the only social care provider on the list in 2021, the care home group has again held this coveted position for a second year running. Oakland Care has not rested on their successes, but remained committed to a better world of work through excellent HR policies and people practices.
This remarkable accomplishment comes alongside Oakland Care’s continued growth as a business, with the care home group recently opening their new homes ‘Elsyng House’ in Enfield and Elmbrook Court in Wantage. The award-winning care home provider is also preparing to open two new care homes in Kent in the coming months, Birchwood Heights in Swanley, and Maplewood Court in Maidstone. Many of these care homes have vacancies already filled in a true testament to the incredibly appealing work structure and support system in place at Oakland Care.
Speaking of being named as a Top Employer once again, Chief Executive Officer at Oakland Care, Joanne Balmer, said: “To have received this prestigious accreditation for the second year in a row is something we are extremely proud of. We have a talented people and development team that create a positive environment for our team members and provides opportunities for them to develop and flourish in their careers.
“Looking ahead to the future, we hope to build on our achievements and further establish ourselves as a leading employer not only within the care home industry, but also in the UK.”
