Not Just Down To ‘Fete’ – Care Home Raises Hundreds From Summer Event

Craigbank Fete 1Bupa’s Craigbank Care Home in Glasgow is celebrating after its annual summer fete raised more than £500 to support new activities for the residents.

Various activities and stalls were set up for residents, guests and visitors at the Saracen Street care home, including tombola, bric-a-brac, a raffle and face painting while an Elvis impersonator provided vocal entertainment.

Alan Twigg, Manager of Bupa’s Craigbank Care Home, said: “The fete was a resounding success, with visitors attending from far and wide.

“We are all thrilled the event managed to raise so much money and would like to thank everyone involved.”

The proceeds will go into the Craigbank activity fund which ensures residents have access to even more events such as day trips, outings and various other leisurely activities that provide many social benefits.

Alan Twigg added “The money raised from the event is a fantastic boost for our activity fund, helping our residents to participate in new and more enjoyable events and activities.

“At Craigbank, we aim to ensure our residents have the best quality of life. Our activities go down a storm with residents so we make sure we put as much emphasis into our programme as possible.

“We are looking forward to planning   more upcoming future activities with the funding we have received from the summer fete.”
