New Manager Excited for Opening of New Community at Ashlynn Grange Care Home
A Peterborough care home, which has recently expanded, has welcomed a new manager.
Desiree Jooste has taken on the role of Registered General Manager at Ashlynn Grange Care Home to lead the team at an exciting time for the business. The residential community, Milton Lodge, has undergone a £1m after being closed for many years, and is due to be officially unveiled on Tuesday, 21st March.
With more than 30 years’ experience working in health and social care, Desiree brings vast experience having held home, regional and operational management roles.
Ashlynn Grange is run by family-owned Athena Care Homes and made up of four communities, offering dementia, nursing and residential care with capacity for 153 residents.
Desiree said: “This is an exciting time to be joining the business. Milton Lodge has been completed to a high standard and offers the facilities our current and future residents deserve.
“The whole Athena family have worked tirelessly to bring about these changes and ensure every last detail has been thought through.”
She continued: “For me the engagement of residents is paramount to what we do, I am passionate about offering a diverse range of activities that cater to all interests.
“I also want to create a genuine warmth within our communities so relatives and friends feel as at home as our residents. I want to spend as much time as possible on our communities so I can see that first hand.”
