New Manager Appointed At Glasgow Care Home

Scotland’s specialist care provider Meallmore has promoted Paula Richie to the role of care home manager of Kelvinside Manor Care Home in Anniesland, Glasgow.

Paula joins Kelvinside Manor following 14 years at sister care home, Antonine House in Bearsden. Paula first joined Antonine House in 2012 as a staff nurse, and has worked her way up through the organisation, to team leader, deputy manager and most recently, as interim manager. Before joining Meallmore, Paula spent four years working for a nursing agency.

Originally from Hamilton, Paula studied nursing at the University of West Scotland.
Paula said: “Kelvinside Manor is a truly stunning care home, and we’ve got a fabulous team, so I’m excited to be taking on this new challenge in such a great place. It’s an important time for Kelvinside Manor as we’ve just had our first Care Inspectorate grades through.

“We’ve made an excellent start, and I’m committed to constantly improving the home and ensuring we keep it a lovely, positive place for people to come in and live, visit and work.
“I’m thrilled to have been given this opportunity by Meallmore. The management team is incredibly supportive and encouraging, and they’ve always believed in me and helped me to develop, which has been fantastic.”
