Netley Court Raises Money For Age Concern Hampshire At Their Recent Garden Party

GardenParty (3)Residents and staff at Netley Court care home in Netley Abbey had a fantastic time at their recent garden party outside in the September sunshine!

They were delighted to welcome family carers, friends, The Mayor of Eastleigh – Jane Welsh, the High Sheriff of Hampshire – Louisa Portal and members of the local community to their event. Everyone gathered together outside where they thoroughly enjoyed delicious snacks, fun-filled games, great company and a fabulous musical show performed by St James Excelsior Band.

Our guests also enjoyed browsing the different arts & crafts stalls throughout the afternoon and everyone at Netley Court was delighted to raise a great total of £130 for Age Concern Hampshire and the resident’s activities funds.

The High Sheriff commented: ‘Thank you for inviting me to your garden party this week and for showing me around your care home. What a wonderful place! It’s so bright and welcoming and quite enlightened with the imaginative use of space on each floor. Of course a brass band always lifts the spirits and on a warm autumn afternoon with a wonderful view across the water, the scene was set for a successful occasion. I very much enjoyed talking to some of your residents and the visitors too. The banana cake and cup of tea was much appreciated.’

Netley Court is part of the Hartford Care family. For more details on their excellent care services please visit www.hartfordcare.co.uk or call Maggie on 02380 450320.
