National Care Home Provider Celebrates National Nutrition And Hydration Week

One of the UK’s largest care home providers, The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT), held a range of special events for residents to enjoy in support of National Nutrition & Hydration Week.

OSJCT, which runs 69 care homes across Lincolnshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire held activities between 16th to 22nd March to help promote the importance of good nutrition and how it can impact and improve quality of life and care.

Some of the Trust’s events included themed tea parties, ‘Around the World’ food and drink tastings, fruit cocktail and smoothie making, and informative presentations from nutritional experts about the benefits of a healthy diet.

Dan Hayes, Operations Director of The Orders of StJohn Care Trust, commented: “Proper nutrition is such a key part of a healthy lifestyle and is something we continuously push in each of our homes, so we’re delighted to continue supporting National Nutrition & Hydration Week.

“We always strive to give our residents the highest quality of care and ensuring that a wholesome diet is always on our menu issomething our kitchen staff work hard to continuously maintain, in addition to making sure all our residents are eating well and keeping hydrated.
