Music Star Thrills With Social Care Concert for World Autism Day

One of the UK’s hottest new music artists, Jo Hill, inspirationally connected with people who draw on social care – delivering an exclusive concert to celebrate World Autism Day. 

The singer, who has been hotly tipped by BBC Radio 1, Clash Magazine and even the legendary Elton John on his Apple Music show, teamed up with the national social care charity Community Integrated Care. Together they delivered a unique performance on the charity’s www.What-To-Do.co.uk platform.

Drawing together people who access social care across the UK, Jo delivered an intimate online performance of her acclaimed debut album, Girlhood. The concert was described as “amazing”, “inspiring” and “the best” by participants.

Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s biggest social care charities – delivering more than 8 million hours of support across the nation. It has been named as 2025 Care Innovators of the Year at the Great British Care Awards for its impact and innovation. Its groundbreaking What To Do platform is one of its platforms for changing lives – offering people who draw on care exclusive accessible and empowering experiences every week with leading brands and public figures.

Jo’s free performance comes at a time of real excitement in her career – having been named as Artist Of The Week on BBC Introducing and delivered an acclaimed series of gigs at the iconic SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. She is set to embark on a packed UK and Europe tour with Matilda Mann.

Jo said, “Performing with Community Integrated Care was such a special experience. Music is all about connection, so sharing my songs with a community that celebrates inclusion and creativity was really special.”

“I feel like through my album and gatherings and shows I’ve built such a strong community. I loved being able to extend this to people supported by this amazing charity on World Autism Day. I loved getting to meet everyone and sharing this special moment together.”
