Morrison Community Care Group Announces Acquisition of Ipswich Care Home Site
Morrison Community Care Group has announced the successful acquisition of a new care home development site in Ipswich, alongside the appointment of Kori Construction Limited as main contractor for the delivery of the scheme.
The development will deliver a state-of-the-art 70-bed care home, with a gross development value of approximately £19 million, further strengthening Morrison Community Care Group’s growing UK pipeline of high-quality care facilities.
Construction is expected to commence on site at the end of May 2026, marking the start of Morrison Community Care Group’s first collaboration with Kori Construction Limited
This represents Morrison Community Care Group’s first development for Care UK, with both parties looking to establish a long-term relationship as the portfolio continues to expand.
The project is targeting practical completion in Q4 2027, subject to programme progression. Once operational, the development will provide much-needed, high-quality care provision in Ipswich, supporting local families and communities, while creating employment opportunities and delivering significant long-term social value.
Paul Sokhi, Managing Director of Morrison Community Care Group, said: “We are delighted to announce the acquisition of our Ipswich site, which represents another important step in strengthening our UK development pipeline. This scheme is particularly exciting as it marks our first collaboration with both Kori Construction Limited and Care UK.
“Kori bring a strong track record in delivering high-quality healthcare developments, and we look forward to building a long-term partnership together, starting with this flagship scheme. Likewise, we are excited to be delivering our first home for Care UK and hope this is the beginning of a long and successful relationship.”
