Mobberley Home Celebrates 31st Birthday with Afternoon Tea and Music Therapy Session

A Mobberley home marks its 31st birthday with an afternoon tea and music therapy session for residents and staff.

MHA The Willows marked its 31st birthday by decking the dining room with bunting, balloons and birthday banners.

The home receives generous donations of delicious treats courtesy of Mobberley Village Bakery, Gails Bakery and the supermarket Booths.

More than 40 people were in attendance including Cllr Bryan Hartley, the Mayor of Knutsford along with his predecessor Cllr Colin Banks

Vicky Turner, who works as a music therapist led the music therapy session which went down a treat with everyone.

Amanda Drayton, activities coordinator said: “The celebrations were very relaxed, and everyone had a great time.

“The celebrations opened with a lovely speech from the Mayor, who had some lovely words to say about MHA The Willows.

“The weather was nice, the residents really enjoyed the sweet treats, and we received some lovely feedback on how the day went.

“The music therapy session was wonderful, Vicky gave out instruments to all the residents and staff, and both Bryan and Colin really got stuck in.”

Steph Nixon, who also works as an activity coordinator added: “It was nice to celebrate the achievements of the home, and it was a lovely atmosphere.

“I have only been here for a few months, but the home is a great place to work and to be part of the celebrations was amazing.

“Working in a home that has been open for 31 years does give you a lot of pride and we look forward to celebrating the next milestone.”
