A Middlesbrough care home welcomed the festive season by hosting a Christmas fayre and managed to raise over £1100.

MHA Montpellier Manor, in Stainton arranged for a Christmas fair to take place in the cafe and lounge area of the ground floor.

The home was full of people as more than 100 people excluding residents and staff came to support the cause.

The fayre included a raffle, tombola and various stalls including jewellery, balloons, bottles and wax melts.

MHA Montpellier Manor provides residential and residential dementia care for 85 residents.

Kelly Deane, deputy home manager said:
“Our Christmas fayre was really well received.

“We had a lot of support from the village and our local community.

“The atmosphere on the day was great, we had people coming in and out during the day and everyone really enjoyed themselves.

“We are still waiting to hear what the exact figure raised was, however last time we checked it had cleared £1100.

“I want to give a huge shoutout to Bev, our activities coordinator who planned the event and worked really hard in making sure it was a success.

“The funds raised will go towards the homes amenities fund, from which residents activities and trips will be arranged.

“On behalf of the home I want to thank everyone for their support and their generosity towards us.”
