Medway Care Home Acquired by Agincare
Family-owned care provider Agincare has announced the acquisition of Rogers House Residential Care Home in Gillingham from Rapport Housing and Care.
Agincare has completed the purchase for an undisclosed sum following a transition period to enable a smooth change-over for residents and their loved ones, as well as the home’s existing care team.
Set to be known as Admiralty Care home, it joins Agincare’s growing portfolio of high quality care and nursing homes nationwide. Agincare was started over 35 years ago from a single care home in Dorset by founder and Chairman Derek Luckhurst, and remains family-owned to this day.
The latest move builds upon Agincare’s long-standing presence at the heart of the Medway community, including Victory Care Home in Chatham and Rochester Care Home. Both are consistently rated ‘Good’ by the CQC following transfer from the local authority 10 years ago, and retain key team members from that time.
Agincare also operates respite, day care and supported living services in Medway, as well as home and live-in care services.
Agincare Chief Executive Raina Summerson said:“Agincare is absolutely delighted to welcome Rogers House into our growing family of care and nursing homes across the country.
“The care home is a perfect fit for Agincare, and we have a successful track record of transferring care and nursing homes from charities, local authorities and private organisations.
“We look forward to taking on the next chapter for the care home, and working with the committed and experienced care team, and existing residents.”
