Malden House Wins Gold In The Sidmouth In Bloom Competition

20151013_133021 (800x450)Residents and staff at a local residential care home in Sidmouth are delighted to have won gold in the Sidmouth in Bloom Competition (Residential Care Homes Category) once again this year.

The team and residents at Malden House have now won the completion eleven times and are said to be just as thrilled with the result this time as they were the very first time they won.

The grounds at Malden House are stunning and include raised borders to facilitate gardening for all residents and a fabulous beach themed activity garden, complete with a beach hut (summer house) for residents to relax and enjoy reminiscence sessions in.

Acting Home Manager, Agnieszka Orlowska, Senior Carer, Penny Tupper, Housekeeper, Karen Thomas and Malden’s gardener Andrew Thomas attended the awards ceremony at Knowle Council Offices and were delighted to be presented with the Mrs Horn Memorial Cup (the overall winner’s cup) for the residential homes category.

Acting Home Manager, Agnieszka Orlowska said “Eleven wins is a fantastic achievement. We are very proud! I would also like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to Andrew, our gardener for his hard work and dedication.”
