Love Is In The Air As Two Couples Celebrate 60th Wedding Anniversary At Glasgow Care Home

Two married couples at HC-One’s Northgate House in Balornock, Glasgow have celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary with a celebratory party.

Joined by staff, residents and family, Bill Barr and his wife Nan marked the special occasion with cake, champagne and flowers.

To commemorate the milestone, Bill, resident at the home, presented his life-long partner with a giant diamond ring and card, much to Nan’s surprise.

May and Bill Anderson, both residents at Northgate, also celebrated the diamond milestone with friends and family at the home.

A romantic dinner for two was served to both happy couples to make the celebrations extra special.

Alison Simpson, Care Home Manager at Northgate House, commented: “It was an honour to be able to celebrate the love and commitment that the two married couples have for one another and it just goes to show that true love really can last forever.”
