London Based Area Manager To Take Part In Great North Run And Raise Funds For His Homes
Bobby Brooks will be running the Great North Run for his MHA homes
An area manager working for a care provider is set to take part in the Great North Run to raise funds for the homes he manages.
Bobby Brooks works at Methodist Homes (MHA) as an area manager for the South Coast and London region and manages seven homes.
The Great North Run is the largest half marathon in the world, taking place annually in North East England each September. Participants run between Newcastle upon Tyne and South Shields
Bobby will be running the Great North Run on the 8th of September and whatever money he raises will be split evenly between the homes he manages.
The homes are
MHA Greenways in Bognor Regis
MHA Hall Grange in Croydon
MHA Lauriston in Hastings
MHA Bradbury Grange in Whitstable
MHA Davids House in Harrow
MHA Ryelands in Surrey
MHA The Meadows, in Muswell Hill
Bobby first started running during the pandemic and it’s the first time he is attempting to run a half marathon.
He said: “Running really helped me to clear my head during the pandemic as it was a very stressful and tough time for those working in social care.
“I want to support my homes as I see firsthand the amazing work they do.
“Our life changing services like Music Therapy is what drew me towards MHA five years ago.
“I have been training for the run by running 5k three days a week and then one long run every Sunday.
“I am very happy with the amount raised so far, it has reached over £700, and I am confident this number will increase.”
