Lincat Team Raises £2,000 For Alzheimer’s Society
A team of staff from catering equipment manufacturer Lincat has raised £2,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society through a charity walk, which was held at the weekend.
The seven-mile Memory Walk, which started at the Lincat factory, in Lincoln, on Saturday 20th September, was organised by Lincat team members Wendy Crookes and Denise Knott, whose mother and father, respectively, suffer from Alzheimer’s.
Lincat receptionist, Wendy, said:
“Both Denise and I know first-hand the impact that Alzheimer’s can have on the lives of so many, which is why we wanted to do something positive to support the excellent work of the Alzheimer’s Society.
“Around 40 people joined us, some with their children and dogs, in our Memory Walk and we were delighted with the generous contributions and support. We raised £1,650 through sponsorship, with Lincat donating a further £350 to make our total donation £2,000, although we are hoping to boost this to £3,000.”
