Lilian Faithfull Care Welcomes New Chief Executive Helen Hargreaves
Cheltenham charity Lilian Faithfull Care has welcomed Helen Hargreaves as its new Chief Executive, bringing extensive experience across the care and housing sectors as the organisation looks to strengthen its connections with local communities.
Helen joins Lilian Faithfull Care following her time at Broadening Choices for Older People (BCOP), a Birmingham-based charity providing accommodation, support and nursing care for older people. Her career has spanned homelessness services, supported housing, retirement living and care, giving her a broad understanding of the different factors that contribute to people’s wellbeing and quality of life.
Her experience across the housing sector will bring a valuable perspective to Lilian Faithfull Care as the charity continues to develop its services and explore new ways to support older people to live well, maintain their independence and remain connected with their communities.
Helen’s appointment comes as Lilian Faithfull Care looks ahead to its next chapter, building on its long history while continuing to respond to the changing needs of older people across Gloucestershire.
Helen Hargreaves, Chief Executive of Lilian Faithfull Care, said: “I’m delighted to be joining Lilian Faithfull Care and becoming part of an organisation with such a long history of supporting older people in Gloucestershire.
“Throughout my career, I’ve seen how important it is to look at the whole picture of someone’s life, not just the support they need at a particular moment. Strong communities, meaningful relationships and the right environment can make a real difference to people’s wellbeing.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know the teams, residents, families and local communities, and working together to build on the charity’s strong foundations for the future.”
