Launch Success Of New Richmond Retirement Village At Aston-On-Trent

Over 300 people attended the open weekend to launch the new retirement village at Aston-on-Trent, Derbyshire, with six deposits placed to secure properties off-plan.

Among the first to arrive and place a deposit on their new home were Mr & Mrs Moulson from Aston-on-Trent, who want to move to a Village apartment as soon as the development opens in late summer/autumn 2016.

“We wanted to give people a real flavour for what living at a Richmond village is like,” said Paddy Brice, managing director of Richmond Villages, “and were absolutely delighted by the number of people who attended and those who showed real interest by wanting to secure their new home off-plan on the day!

“This is a superb start, and gives us great confidence that Aston-on-Trent is absolutely the right location for our next and seventh village.”

Richmond Villages had invited those interested in learning about its new development to the event which was held on Saturday 1 November and Sunday 2 November atThe Priest House Hotel, Castle Donington.

The new £30 million retirement village at Aston-on-Trent will be located at Willow Park Way on the site of the former hospital, and will comprise a care home providing 24-hour nursing and dementia care, village apartments for independent living and village suites for assisted living.  It will also provide a wellness spa with swimming pool and gym, hair and beauty salon, a library, IT room, terrace café, garden bar and restaurant, and all set within beautifully landscaped grounds which include a croquet lawn.  Activities, events and a village transport service will also be provided.

Richmond Aston-on-Trent will be the company’s seventh retirement village, and once completed will provide 125 homes for those over 55, and 60 care home beds providing 24-hour care.
